Dear Friends: Thank you for visiting my web page and a taking an interest in my campaign. Fulfilling this seat in the House of Representatives is an important step for local representation in the Michigan legislature and even a more important step in improving the state of the state. For the better part of the past decade, my work in representing you at the county government level as a county commissioner from the 9th district demonstrates the attributes I am ready to take to Lansing to assure reverse perpetuation of big government. Lenawee County remains in sound financial condition. The County Board of Commissioners have managed local government without asking residents to pay more in taxes and to the contrary are reducing property taxes while maintaining services. We have established a great working relationship with county employees who are the backbone of county government and allow us to manage Lenawee County with reasonable cost. All accomplished with a budgeting process where we have invested more in economic and agriculture development. Isn’t that what we need in Lansing? There are many issues to address in state government. Someone is needed who can pull people together working for a common cause. I strongly believe collectively working together in a bi-partisan fashion during my tenure as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners demonstrates just what can be accomplished and with your help those same characteristics will be working for you in Lansing by casting your vote for √ Jim Van Doren for the 57th District Michigan House of Representatives’ seat. You and I have the opportunity to change state government and assure the voice of Lenawee is heard. Over the years, your support along with positive comments regarding the operation and management of county government has been greatly appreciated. Your assistance is needed to take that same positive management philosophy and style to Lansing representing you at the state government level. Kind regards,
PS: Your vote is important and asking others to support my campaign and assure they vote is equally important. Additionally, elections are costly. If you can help with the cost of our efforts please “click on” the section labeled “Contribute”. Thank you.
